Answers to your burning questions!

Q: Do I have to wear a costume to attend?

A: Absolutely not! Though we do encourage our attendees to dress up, it is not required in order to attend.

Q: May I bring a prop gun, sword, weapon?

A: Typically the parks where we host our events do not allow weapons
of any sort.We would hope that our attendees would use proper
discretion when bringing a prop for their costume. We want nothing but
the best- and safest- experience for all of our attendees.

Q: What does the cost of admission cover?

A: The cost of admission covers you for all the delicious food, it
enters you in the raffle prize contest, the costume contest (if you're
wearing a costume, that is!), any games we may provide, and it helps us
cover the cost of renting the park space. We appreciate any and all
donations from our generous supporters and it is with that support that
we are able to improve our events each year.

Q: What if I don't participate in the raffle prize, the costume contest, any games, or eat any food? Do I still have to pay?

A:To be frank, yes. It does cost money to rent the space where we
host our events and even though you're not planning on participating in
our games, contest, BBQ, etc. you are still participating in the
gathering itself by even being there. We do pay for this straight out
of our own pockets and any funds we make go directly into planning the
next gathering. So don't be surprised if one of our staff politely
reminds you of the admittance fee while there.

Q: May I sell my props, cookies, anime beanies, costumes, etc. at your events?

A: Though we appreciate any offer from artists, bakers, prop makers,
etc. to sell their goods at our gathering, this is not a request we can
currently undertake.

Q: I'm a helpful person, I would love to help with the gathering, how do I do that?

A: We love help! And we love you! For volunteer information, you can always contact us at SoCalCosplay(at)yahoo(dot)com

Q: Help! I can't get there! Do you guys have a carpool list?

A: Many of our attendees are kind enough to offer a ride to those in
need! You can always check the Cosplay.com forum for our events or our
official forums! If you are interested in helping to carpool, feel free
to post on either board! Thank you!

Q: I have an Anime Store, cosplay group, wig store, costume
commission business,  cosplay magazine, Etsy.com store, convention etc.
and I would love to cross advertise! How do I do that?

A: We LOVE helping out businesses and fellow artists! Please Email
SoCalCosplay(at)yahoo(dot)com and let us know what we can do for you!
